Länsi-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue seeks a dedicated practical nurse for Kultakodit in Lohja to support elderly residents with holistic care. You will participate in medication administration, supervision and daily activities within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to residents' well-being year-round.

Länsi-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue arranges residential services for elderly, disabled, mental health and substance abuse clients as well as child protection clients. The service forms include 24/7, short-term, communal and supported housing. Our Kultakodit homes provide 24/7 residential services for elderly clients. As a practical nurse, you will be a familiar and safe own nurse for the residents, taking care of their well-being holistically. You will apply your expertise in care, supervision and medication administration and you will be a valuable part of a multidisciplinary team. Working location: Kultakodit, Ojamonkatu 34, B-entrance, 98100 Lohja.
Working hours: shift work 114 h 45 min / 3 weeks.
Qualifications: For a Lähihoitaja, you must hold a protected professional title. We require good Finnish language skills (written and spoken) and valid medication licenses or completion of them. We also require an interest in promoting the well-being of our aging clients, flexibility and the ability to operate in changing client situations. The role requires vaccination against contagious diseases under the Infectious Diseases Act §48 and TB screening under §55. Applicants may be asked to provide a drug test according to the region's drug program. From 1.1.2024, a background check under law 741/2023 §28 for working with the elderly is required. We value experience in working with substance abuse or mental health clients; experience in caring for residents with dementia is considered an advantage.
