Job summary

Eficode Group in Helsinki is seeking an experienced Group Chief Accountant to lead our international finance function, ensuring accounting integrity, financial control and compliance across the group. You will develop the Finance team, standardize processes, manage tax, treasury, audits, and FX, and drive a scalable, group-led operating model while partnering with leadership across our countries.

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, financial control or a senior finance role.
• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical accounting expertise across balance sheet, cash flow, tax and internal controls.
• Experience leading Finance professionals in a multi-entity or international setting.

Responsibilities

• Own the Group balance sheet and cash flow, ensuring accuracy and strong financial control.
• Lead, coach and develop members of our Finance team.
• Drive consistency and standardisation across Group accounting processes, controls and ways of working.
• Lead areas of tax, treasury, banking, liquidity, transfer pricing and financial compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and strengthen internal control environment.
• Support management of foreign exchange exposure and wider financial risks.
• Play a key role in Finance transformation for a scalable, group-led model.
• Partner with Finance leadership and stakeholders across our international organisation.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Group Chief Accountant to play a key role in the next stage of our Finance journey.

You’ll take ownership of accounting integrity, financial control and compliance across our international Group, while helping us build a more consistent, scalable and group-led Finance function.

Combining strong technical accounting expertise with people leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to develop our Finance team, improve how we work and help shape the future of Finance at Eficode.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Own the Group balance sheet and cash flow, ensuring accuracy and strong financial control.
• Lead, coach and develop members of our Finance team.
• Drive consistency and standardisation across Group accounting processes, controls and ways of working.
• Lead key areas of tax, treasury, banking, liquidity, transfer pricing and financial compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and strengthen our internal control environment.
• Support the management of foreign exchange exposure and wider financial risks.
• Play a key role in Finance transformation as we move towards a more scalable, group-led operating model.
• Partner with Finance leadership and stakeholders across our international organisation.

Success Factors:

• 10+ years’ experience in accounting, financial control or a similar senior Finance role.
• A professional accounting qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong technical accounting expertise across balance sheet management, cash flow, tax, audit and internal controls.
• Proven experience leading and developing Finance professionals.
• Experience working in a complex, multi-entity and/or international organisation.
• Experience supporting Finance transformation, process improvement or operating model change.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.

Desired skills and qualifications

It would be an added bonus if you have:

• Experience within a group-led or centralised Finance function.
• Experience supporting post-acquisition integration.
• Knowledge of treasury, banking, liquidity, debt, foreign exchange and transfer pricing.
• Finnish or Swedish language skills would be beneficial.
