Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned Compensation & Benefits specialist to design and maintain bands across Finland, Germany, and India, while leading market benchmarking and annual reviews. You will manage equity grants, vesting, and refresh cycles, ensuring pay equity and regulatory compliance and partnering with HR and Talent Acquisition.

The role supports workforce planning in a scaling tech environment across multiple countries, aligning with EU directives and internal guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, total rewards, or a related specialist HR function.
• Experience designing job architecture and compensation bands, ideally across multiple countries
• Hands-on experience with equity administration, grants, vesting, and refresh cycles
• Familiarity with market benchmarking tools and methodologies, such as tech and/or aerospace compensation surveys
• Working knowledge of pay equity and transparency regulations relevant to the EU
• Experience in a scaling tech, engineering, or deep tech organization preferred
• High attention to detail and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-growing, multi-country environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills, partnering effectively with HRBP, HR Operations, and Talent Acquisition

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain career levels and compensation bands for individual contributor and management tracks across Finland, Germany, and India
• Maintain market data across technology and aerospace compensation surveys and refresh compensation bands at least annually
• Own the annual compensation review process, including budget allocation support, manager calibration, and communication of outcomes
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to benchmark offers against approved compensation bands
• Manage the full equity lifecycle, including grant calculations, vesting tracking, and refresh cycles
• Communicate equity information to employees at key moments, including departure or exercise windows
• Design market-appropriate benefits packages by country in partnership with HR Operations
• Conduct regular pay equity reviews and help resolve identified gaps
• Ensure compensation practices and salary range disclosure meet applicable regulatory requirements, including the EU Pay Transparency Directive
• Serve as the primary contact for compensation-related questions from HRBP, HR Operations, and Country HR leads
• Provide compensation and equity reporting to leadership, including board-level equity pool reporting
• Support informed workforce planning and investment decisions
