Job summary

Metso Corporation in Espoo, Finland seeks a Sourcing Manager to lead third-party supplier networks for Concentrator and Hydrometallurgical plants. You will define and execute sourcing strategies, drive negotiations, manage supplier performance, and collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and R&D to ensure on-time, cost-competitive delivery.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years in sourcing, and strong analytical, cross-functional collaboration, and English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, SCM, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or related function.
• Experience in project-driven environments and large-scale projects.
• Proven track record of cost savings, lead-time improvements, supplier development or risk mitigation.
• Understanding of industrial equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Act as the procurement lead for solution sales opportunities in close collaboration with sales stakeholders and regional Procurement Hubs.
• Lead the RFQ process for third-party equipment during the proposal phase, ensuring competitive pricing, supplier responsiveness, and risk awareness.
• Ensure project readiness for third-party equipment (suppliers approved, supplier quotations in line with agreed T&C’s).
• Support proposal teams with market intelligence, cost competitiveness analyses, and supplier insights.
• Develop and continuously improve pricing tools and cost models together with engineering teams to enhance quotation accuracy and efficiency.
