Job summary

AFRY Finland Oy is seeking an International Environmental Consultant to strengthen our multidisciplinary team on sustainability-driven assignments worldwide.

The role requires experience in IFI-funded ESIA, ESDD/EHS DD, and related compliance with IFC, EBRD, Equator Principles and EU rules. You will support infrastructure and energy projects and help clients meet regulatory and performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or contribute to international ESIA processes for large-scale infrastructure, energy, transport, industrial, and environmental projects.
• Conduct or support Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD)/ Environmental, Health and Safety Due Diligence (EHS DD) for IFIs, lenders, and private investors.
• Conduct or support Environmental Due Diligence (EDD)/ Environmental, Health and Safety Due Diligence (EHS DD) in relation to mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
• Coordinate environmental and social workstreams in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Engage with clients, IFIs, authorities, local stakeholders and subcontractors in various countries.
• Prepare high quality technical documentation, including ESIA reports, EDD reports, management plans, and monitoring frameworks.
