Job summary

AFRY Finland Oy seeks an International Environmental Consultant to strengthen a multidisciplinary team on sustainability-driven assignments worldwide. The role focuses on IFI-funded ESIA, ESDD/EHS DD, and related compliance with IFC, EBRD ESRs, Equator Principles, and EU rules.

Key responsibilities include leading ESIA processes for major infrastructure and energy projects, coordinating multidisciplinary workstreams, and preparing technical reports and monitoring frameworks for global clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in international ESIA and due diligence for IFI-funded projects.
• Strong understanding of IFC Performance Standards, EU requirements and international frameworks.
• Ability to lead or coordinate multi-disciplinary environmental and social teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or contribute to international ESIA processes for large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.
• Conduct or support ESIA-related ESDD/EHS DD assignments for IFIs and investors.
• Coordinate environmental and social workstreams within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Engage with clients, authorities and stakeholders across countries.
• Prepare high-quality ESIA, EDD reports and monitoring frameworks.
• Contribute to project documentation and regulatory compliance.
