Job summary

AFRY Finland Oy is seeking an International Environmental Consultant to strengthen our multidisciplinary team working on sustainability-driven assignments across the globe.

Candidates should have solid experience with IFI-funded projects, ESIA, ESDD/EHS DD, and compliance with IFC, EU rules and other international frameworks. The role involves coordinating environmental and social workstreams and delivering ESIA and due-diligence documentation across countries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or contribute to international ESIA processes for large-scale projects.
• Conduct or support Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD)/ Environmental, Health and Safety Due Diligence (EHS DD) assignments for IFIs, lenders, and private investors.
• Coordinate environmental and social workstreams in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Engage with clients, IFIs, authorities, local stakeholders and subcontractors in various countries.
• Prepare high quality technical documentation, including ESIA reports, EDD reports, management plans, and monitoring frameworks.
