Job summary

AFRY Management Consulting in Turku seeks an International Environmental Consultant to strengthen our multidisciplinary team on sustainability-driven assignments globally, with a focus on IFI-funded ESIA processes.

You will coordinate ESIA/E&S due diligence efforts, align with IFC Performance Standards and EU requirements, and support EDD/EHS DD work across countries, engaging with clients, authorities, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in IFI-funded ESIA projects.
• Experience with ESIA/E&S due diligence and EDD/EHS DD.
• Ability to coordinate environmental and social workstreams in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or contribute to international ESIA processes for large-scale infrastructure, energy, transport, industrial and environmental projects.
• Conduct or support ESDD/EHS DD assignments for IFIs, lenders, and private investors.
• Conduct or support EDD/EHS DD assignments in relation to mergers and acquisitions.
• Coordinate environmental and social workstreams in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Engage with clients, IFIs, authorities, local stakeholders and subcontractors in various countries.
• Prepare high-quality technical documentation, including ESIA reports, EDD reports, management plans, and monitoring frameworks.
