Job summary

Moventas Wind Ltd in Finland seeks an Automation Service Engineer to support Steerprop propulsion automation. You will work remotely and on-site with customers, diagnosing issues and implementing solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on automation experience in industrial machinery, excellent communication, and willingness to travel internationally. Marine-specific knowledge is not required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with automation systems in industrial machinery and equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Customer-oriented mindset with good communication.
Willingness to travel internationally.
Fluency in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute service, repair, upgrade, and modernization projects related to automation and control systems.
Provide field service and technical support on customer vessels worldwide.
Troubleshoot automation and control systems, perform diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
Commissioning and testing automation systems as part of project deliveries.
Document service activities and technical findings accurately.
Contribute to continuous development of automation and service methods.
