Job summary
Wärtsilä Corporation in Finland seeks an experienced Plant Automation Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning and startup of power plant installations. This travel‑intensive, field‑based role focuses on automation testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting across customer sites.
Preferred locations Vaasa (or Turku/Helsinki); hybrid work available. You will lead automation testing, supervise installation, diagnose system issues, and prepare technical reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
- Experience with power plant automation systems and industrial control networks.
- Strong commissioning, troubleshooting and system integration skills.
- Proven ability to work in dynamic field environments and collaborate across teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform automation testing and commissioning activities for Wärtsilä power plant installations.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform corrective actions on Wärtsilä products and systems.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of plant automation and control systems.
- Prepare and submit technical reports in line with Wärtsilä standards.
- Support warranty activities and contribute to continuous product improvement.
