Job summary

Nordea is hiring a Senior Forward Deployed AI Scientist to design and build scalable AI solutions embedded with business units across the bank. You will work closely with engineers, product teams, and data scientists to deliver agentic AI applications while upholding ethical and responsible development practices.

The role is full-time with a hybrid setup anchored in Helsinki, with potential collaboration across Nordea locations in the region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and Python expertise.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale transformative AI applications from concept to production.
• Translate business problems into modeling tasks in collaboration with engineers and product teams.
• Provide input to the full ML lifecycle: framing, hypothesis, model selection, evaluation, and iteration.
• Develop and implement advanced ML models and agentic solutions for business applications.
• Explore emerging AI methods and share insights for Nordea use cases.
