Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Scientist to design and scale AI applications, embedding with business teams to deliver agentic AI solutions that create value while upholding ethical standards. The role is full-time with hybrid work, based in Helsinki, Finland, or other Nordea locations.

You will translate business problems into ML problems, participate in the modeling lifecycle, and apply emerging AI methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in CS, Eng, Data Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years building and deploying AI/ML in production.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong communication with engineers and stakeholders.
• Collaborative work with diverse teams including data scientists and product stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale transformative AI applications from concept to production.
• Translate business problems into well-defined ML problem statements with engineers and product teams.
• Contribute to the full modeling lifecycle: framing, hypotheses, modeling, evaluation, iteration.
• Develop and implement advanced ML models and agentic solutions.
• Explore emerging AI methods and build proofs of concept for Nordea.
