Job summary

Nordea Bank Norge ASA is seeking an experienced software engineer to lead AI design and delivery in Group Finance, combining hands-on coding with setting reusable patterns and standards. You will engineer AI-driven solutions on Nordea's cloud platforms and guide architecture decisions across teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software engineering with production-grade systems and proven AI/ML experience in regulated environments, including cloud and containerised workloads.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or equivalent in a technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with leadership in design and delivery of production-grade systems.
• Proven experience designing, building and operationalising AI/ML solutions in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own reusable AI patterns, building blocks and engineering standards for AI in Group Finance.
• Design and engineer AI-driven solutions on Nordea's enterprise and cloud platforms.
• Partner with Finance experts to reimagine processes with AI-enabled solutions.
• Develop high-quality, production-ready Python code and reusable components.
• Lead technical design discussions and reviews for architectural decisions.
• Evaluate new AI tools and approaches for use in a regulated environment.
• Communicate technical direction and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
