• Required safety training and authorizations for the work.
• Fluent in Finnish or English; Swedish is a plus.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
• Proactive, safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work independently or in a team.

Field Service Electrician

Are you a skilled electrician who enjoys hands-on work in changing industrial environments? With us, you will take part in diverse Field Service assignments where you can develop your technical expertise while helping customers keep their electrical and automation systems safe, reliable, and efficient.

You’ll carry out maintenance, installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting at customer sites as part of a team or independently. Depending on your experience, you may also coordinate the daily work of a small team as a working team leader. At Prohoc, we want you to focus on your work — we’ll take care of the rest and give you the team’s full support.

Location: Preferably Vaasa. The role involves extensive travel, approximately 200 travel days per year.

As a Field Service Electrician you will:

• Perform electrical and automation maintenance, installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and modernization work at customer sites.

• Carry out electrical measurements, inspections, functional tests, cable installation, termination, connections, and other commissioning activities.

• Work according to applicable drawings, specifications, procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and customer standards.

• Work independently or as part of a Prohoc, customer, or subcontractor team, and coordinate a small team when appointed as a working team leader.

• Communicate progress, technical findings, risks, delays, and resource needs clearly to the relevant Prohoc and customer representatives.

• Follow site-specific HSE and quality requirements, participate in required safety activities, and stop work whenever safe execution cannot be ensured.

• Report completed work, working hours, travel time, materials, defects, open items, and recommended follow-up actions accurately and on time.

• Take proper care of tools, test equipment, PPE, vehicles, devices, and other Prohoc or customer property.

What we expect from you:

• Vocational qualification in electrical engineering, electrical installation, automation, or another relevant field.

• Practical experience in electrical or automation installation, maintenance, commissioning, testing, or troubleshooting.

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation and to use appropriate tools and test equipment.

• Required safety training, technical qualifications, and authorizations for the assigned work.

• Excellent command of either Finnish or English, together with at least basic working proficiency in English. Swedish is considered an advantage.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, work flexible hours, and adapt to changing assignment schedules and industrial environments.

• A proactive, safety-conscious, reliable, and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to take ownership and work both independently and as part of a team.

• Normal physical capability for industrial installation, maintenance, and commissioning work, including work outdoors, at height, in confined spaces, and in varying site conditions.
