Job summary

emagine is seeking a Scrum Master to lead agile delivery and transformation for our Helsinki-based team. You will drive SAFe practices, facilitate ceremonies, coach cross-functional teams, and partner with stakeholders to align delivery with strategic goals.

In this on-site 2-3 days/week role, you will own delivery plans, coordinate multi-team efforts, and promote an AI-first mindset to accelerate value delivery while maintaining governance and quality across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Project Manager, or Execution Leader in a tech environment.
• Strong delivery leadership and cross-team coordination capabilities.
• Good understanding of API-based architectures, cloud technologies, DevOps, and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and improve Agile ways of working, Scrum and SAFe practices.
• Organize sprint planning, stand-ups, retros, reviews, backlog refinement, PI Planning and other ceremonies.
• Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles and value-driven delivery.
• Foster high-performing, collaborative teams with accountability and transparency.
• Monitor team health, engagement, predictability, quality and delivery performance.
• Lead strategic initiatives, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risk logs, and execution tracking.
• Drive AI opportunities to improve productivity, quality and speed across the SDLC.
• Engage architects, engineers, and business stakeholders without requiring hands-on tech work.

Scope: Full-time, 100 %

The Scrum Master acts as an Execution Leader responsible not only for facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching the team, but also for actively driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives from idea to implementation. The role combines Agile leadership, project execution, stakeholder management, delivery management, and AI enablement.

Agile Leadership and Team Coaching

• Facilitate and continuously improve Agile ways of working within the team, ensuring effective execution of Scrum and SAFe practices.
• Organize and lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews, backlog refinement sessions, PI Planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, continuous improvement, flow optimization, and value-driven delivery.
• Foster a high-performing, self-organizing, cross-functional team culture with strong collaboration, accountability, transparency, and psychological safety.
• Monitor and improve team health, engagement, predictability, quality, and delivery performance.

Initiative and Delivery Leadership

• Take ownership of strategic initiatives, epics, features, and cross-team deliveries, acting as the primary execution leader throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Create and maintain delivery plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risk logs, and execution tracking mechanisms
• Drive execution proactively by identifying blockers, coordinating issue resolution, escalating risks, and ensuring timely decision-making.
• Coordinate complex deliveries involving multiple teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and technology organizations.
• Ensure initiatives progress according to agreed scope, timelines, quality expectations, governance requirements, and funding constraints.
• Maintain visibility of delivery status and drive actions needed to achieve committed business outcomes.

AI Leadership and Transformation

• Continuously identify and drive AI opportunities that improve productivity, quality, speed, and operational efficiency. Work with teams to define, prioritize, and implement AI use cases, ensuring AI and automation opportunities are considered during feature refinement, sprint planning, PI Planning, and continuous improvement activities.
• Promote an AI-first mindset across the Software Development Lifecycle by leveraging AI to improve planning, backlog management, documentation, testing, reporting, stakeholder communication, and overall team effectiveness. Encourage teams to actively challenge existing ways of working and explore how AI can simplify, automate, and accelerate value delivery

Must-have Knowledge And Experience

• Experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Project Manager, or Execution Leader in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong delivery leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-team coordination capabilities.
• Good understanding of API-based architectures, cloud technologies, infrastructure concepts, DevOps, and modern software development practices.
• Understanding of Open Banking, digital platforms, or financial services technology ecosystems is considered a strong advantage.
• Ability to engage effectively with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders without requiring hands-on technical expertise.
• Proven interest in AI-driven ways of working and the ability to identify and drive adoption of AI, automation, and productivity-enhancing solutions across teams.
