Job summary

Fortum in Espoo, Finland seeks a Sustainability Manager, Compliance to steer regulatory compliance for EU sustainability rules across the group. The role focuses on due diligence governance, supplier code alignment, and remedy mechanisms, reporting, and cross-functional advisory support.

You will join the Corporate Sustainability team in a hybrid setting, contributing to a safer, more sustainable future while navigating complex EU regulations and reporting standards.

Qualifications

• Senior-level expertise with strong organisational and influencing skills.
• Experience developing governance and reporting processes for human rights and environmental impacts.
• Familiarity with EU/ national regulatory requirements related to sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of group-level due diligence governance for human rights and environmental impacts.
• Lead reviews of Supplier Code of Conduct and contract clauses for regulatory alignment.
• Develop remedy approaches in supply chain context.
• Participate in annual sustainability reporting within your area of responsibility.
• Provide high-level advice on sustainability topics to businesses and internal stakeholders.
