Job summary

European Investment Bank (EIB) invites applications for an Associate Sector Specialist - Environment and Infrastructure based at our Luxembourg headquarters. The role focuses on screening and due diligence across environmental and infrastructure advisory assignments, with strong collaboration across divisions to deliver high-quality financial and technical advice.

The position is full-time and temporary for 2 years, requiring regular office presence in Luxembourg.

Qualifications

University degree (minimum equivalent to a Bachelor degree).
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in environmental and/or infrastructure sectors would be an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of English and/or French, with a good command of the other (knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage).
A multidisciplinary background combining Engineering with Finance, Economics or Business Studies would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Provide early project screening and independent due diligence on environmental and infrastructure matters across advisory assignments in the Division.
Collaborate with sector experts and other EIB services to deliver high-quality advisory solutions.
Assist in evaluating the strategic viability and environmental/infrastructure sustainability of projects.
Support integration of financial and technical advisory services and cross-team cooperation.
