Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer with a strong electrical background to support the delivery of large-scale electrical packages in Espoo or Lahti on a 6-month contract. You will review drawings, manage RFIs, coordinate subcontractors, and track progress to ensure safety, quality, time and budget.

The role requires coordinating installation, testing, handover and stakeholder communications onsite, with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Strong electrical background.
• Experience working with HV, MV, and/or LV electrical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, substations, and power distribution systems.
• Experience coordinating construction, engineering, and installation activities on large-scale projects.
• Ability to manage technical documentation, project schedules, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Espoo or Lahti for the duration of the project.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of electrical packages across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and client teams throughout project execution.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, design changes, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support procurement activities, material tracking, and equipment deliveries.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, reporting, and programme management.
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support to key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and client requirements.
