Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineer (Client side) for a major data centre project in Finland. The role focuses on delivering the electrical scope with site teams and contractors, ensuring programme milestones are met.

You will own the electrical delivery, coordinate with PMC/Owner’s Representative environments, and drive technical decisions on site with urgency and accountability.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering background on major construction projects.
• Experience managing full electrical scope on large-scale sites.
• Data centre / mission critical experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate and challenge electrical contractors on site.
• Solid understanding of site delivery, sequencing, and dependencies.
• Hands-on, on-site approach with urgency and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical delivery across the data centre construction programme.
• Coordinate with specialist contractors to drive progress and resolve issues.
• Ensure alignment with project schedule and safety standards.
• Work in PMC/Owner’s Rep or contractor environments as required.

Supporting the electrical delivery of a major data centre construction programme, working closely with specialist contractors to drive site progress and programme delivery.

Key skills and Experience required

• Strong Electrical Engineering background within major construction projects.
• Experience managing the full electrical construction scope on large-scale projects.
• Proven data centre / mission-critical experience preferred.
• Ability to manage, challenge and coordinate electrical contractors.
• Strong understanding of site delivery, construction sequencing and programme dependencies.
• Hands‑on, site-based approach with a focus on driving progress and resolving issues.
• Experience within a PMC / Owner’s Representative, MEP or electrical contractor environment.
• Able to take ownership of electrical delivery and work with urgency and accountability.
