Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Development Manager, Offering & Digital Capabilities to join our Business Performance Development team. The role blends product ownership, business capability development and stakeholder collaboration to connect business needs with data and digital solutions.

You will own the roadmap for assigned capabilities, work with process owners and architects, and translate requirements into actionable development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital transformation, business development, process development, product ownership or a similar role.
• Understanding of how business processes, data and digital solutions work together to create business value.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies and collaborating with development teams.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical development solutions and roadmaps.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Experience with Salesforce.com and enterprise business applications is considered an advantage.
• Experience with customer-facing business processes, such as offering, sales or service operations is considered beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the roadmap for assigned business capabilities and applications, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with peers, process owners, architects and business stakeholders to ensure development activities support shared goals.
• Identify improvement opportunities and proactively initiate development activities that create business value.
• Balance immediate business needs with long-term development objectives.
• Act as Product Owner for assigned business applications and capabilities.
• Define, prioritize and maintain product roadmap and backlog.
• Translate business requirements and strategic objectives into actionable development initiatives, and collaborate with architects, developers and stakeholders throughout the development cycle.
• Ensure development activities move from idea to implementation in a structured and effective manner.
• Define success measures and expected outcomes for new capabilities and improvements.
• Ensure required data, reports and dashboards are available to monitor utilization, performance and business impact.
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across business, operations and technology functions.
• Facilitate alignment between diverse stakeholder groups and competing priorities.
• Engage continuously with end users to understand needs and validate solutions.
• Influence decisions through collaboration, expertise and trust.
