You will model data with medallion architecture across Raw, Harmonized and Business layers, and collaborate with data architects, analytics professionals and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure data products.

Metsä Group is looking for a
to join our Digital & AI function in Espoo, Finland.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building and developing Metsä Group's Azure Databricks-based data platform and AI-ready data foundations. You will design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models and reusable data products that enable analytics, reporting, AI and other data-driven solutions across Metsä Group.
Data modelling is an essential part of your role. You will transform technical source data into business-ready data products by applying modern data modelling practices and Metsä Group's medallion architecture. You will work across the Raw, Harmonized and Business Layers, ensuring that data is structured, traceable, secure and reusable for different business areas and use cases.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, Data Architects, Information and Solution Architects, Analytics professionals, AI developers and other IT teams. Together, you will translate business concepts and data requirements into maintainable technical solutions and make data accessible, understandable and ready for use.
As part of the Data team, you will contribute to the development of our engineering practices, platform capabilities and development standards, while collaborating with external partners to ensure high-quality deliveries.
This is a permanent position and you will report to Development Manager, Data.
To succeed in this role, you have solid hands-on experience in data engineering and developing solutions on modern cloud-based data platforms. You have strong practical experience with Azure Databricks and related Azure data technologies and are comfortable taking ownership of data solutions from source ingestion to business-ready data products.
