Job summary
Bimplus in Helsinki seeks an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead the on-site testing of large-scale data centre mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps and piping. You will coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors and client representatives, deliver tests and closeout packages, and ensure compliance with project milestones and industry standards.
Requires a mechanical engineering degree and 8+ years of relevant data centre or large-scale construction experience; EU
Qualifications
- Must have degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Requires 8+ years of relevant experience on large-scale construction projects (preferably data centres).
- EU Passport is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning and testing of complex mechanical systems (HVAC, pumps, piping) for hyperscale data centre projects.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Ensure installations meet specifications, quality standards and industry expectations through inspections and closeout of issues.
- Manage commissioning documentation, test reports, snagging records, and handover packs.
