Data Center Shift Lead — 24/7 Operations

Job summary

DayOne Data Centers in Kouvola, Finland, invites an experienced Shift Manager to join our first data center project developed with Hyperco. You will lead shift teams, oversee equipment inspections, and ensure accurate handovers in a 24/7 facility.

You will analyze system interfaces across BMS, BA, HV monitoring, and data centre management systems, train staff on SOPs/EOPs, and drive incident response with a proactive, collaborative mindset. Finnish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or IT or a related field and +3 years in data centre ops.
• Experience with UPS, generators, chillers and HV/LV distribution.
• Strong leadership and cross-disciplinary teamwork.
• Proficiency in English; Finnish is a plus.
• Ability to operate in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Team Ownership: arrange and supervise the shift team.
• Equipment and Data Review: inspect equipment and verify data.
• Systems Analysis: daily analysis of BMS, BA, HV monitoring, data centre systems.
• Training and SOP Compliance: train staff on SOPs/EOPs.
• Incident Management: record and address abnormal duty reports.
