The role emphasizes routine tasks, accuracy, and collaboration with multiple departments to support quotations, pricing, and cost modeling for turbine engine services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance or a related field.
  • Proven data collection and analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI tools.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and compile data related to jet engine repair services, including labor hours, materials, overhead and charges.
  • Analyze cost data to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Prepare detailed invoices in line with contracts and pricing structures.
  • Assist in cost calculations for quotations and proposals.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Job description

We are looking for a meticulous Cost Analyst to become a valuable member of our cost controlling team, specializing in data collection and invoice preparation for jet engine repair services in a dynamic, international and fast-growing company located at the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

This is a full-time onsite permanent position, where you can actively shape your role and play a significant part in contributing to our continuous growth.

The Cost Analyst will be responsible for collecting data from various channels, including IFS ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, contractual agreements, and stakeholders across different departments. Following data compilation, the Analyst will conduct thorough profitability analysis, forecast the total engine invoice amount expected during the production phase, and finally prepare invoices. The Cost analyst will also address inquiries related to cost calculations and invoicing.

The ideal candidate likes routine tasks, possesses a technical mindset and has a keen interest in learning technical aspects of turbine engine technology. Additionally, they have strong understanding of relational databases, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather and compile data related to jet engine repair services, including labor hours, material costs, overhead expenses, and any additional charges.
  • Analyze cost data to verify accuracy and identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues as needed.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate invoices, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, pricing structures, and billing terms.
  • Assist in cost calculations for quotation and proposal preparation.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Manager
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a relevant field
  • Proven experience in data collection and analysis
  • Proficiency in spoken and written business English
  • Advanced skills in Excel or other relevant software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders.
  • Readiness to perform routine work.
  • Proactive team player with ability to operate independently.
Considered as an advantage:
  • Previous experience in heavy industry (aerospace, shipbuilding) or automotive industry.
  • Previous experience with industrial cost modelling.
  • Finnish language skill is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • SQL skills
  • Experience in creating BI-reports
