Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator A for the Department of Surgery. You will manage study operations, assist with multisite trials, and ensure good clinical practice across protocols.

Responsibilities include coordinating subject recruitment, IRB submissions, data entry, and budget management while collaborating with partner sites and investigators within the Perelman School of Medicine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science required with 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (CRC-A).
• Bachelor of Science required with 2-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (CRC-B).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct clinical studies, including subject recruitment and data entry.
• Coordinate IRB submissions and renewals per FDA/IRB guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements, including data and source documentation.
• Oversee study preparation, blood sample handling, and analysis.
• Database management and analysis.
• Order and stock supplies and maintain equipment.
• Educate patients and family members.
• Promote good clinical practice and familiarize with federal regulations for human subject protection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Prepare and process IRB documentation for initial submissions and amendments.
• Assist in Phase I-IV trials coordination and audits by sponsors, CROs, FDA, etc.
• Schedule patient visits and ensure eligibility and informed consent.
