Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee the coordination between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments, ensuring sterilized instruments are available for surgeries and procedures across the Enterprise.

Responsibilities include stocking and standardizing instrument trays, acting as a clinical liaison, and promoting efficient case flow with a focus on patient safety and infection control across multiple sites 24/7.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; certification or vocational training may be preferred.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience required; 2-4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between Operating Room and Sterile Processing to facilitate case flow.
• Procure and organize instrument trays across the Enterprise; ensure sterilized supplies are delivered aseptically.
• Serve as clinical liaison between ORs and CSS sites; support process improvements and customer service across the Medical Center.
