Job summary

Sairaala Nova in Jyväskylä seeks a hospital physicist to lead clinical neurophysiology within the Hospital Physics Unit. You will supervise EEG, ENMG, evoked potentials, and rTMS investigations, contribute to actigraphy and sleep studies, and support intraoperative monitoring.

The role includes training, project work, and procurement; you will collaborate across the multidisciplinary team. Permanent post under the SOTE agreement with a structured induction and potential for career development;

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a hospital physicist qualification for this permanent post.

Responsibilities

• Act as the responsible physicist for clinical neurophysiology within the Hospital Physics Unit and provide the associated medical-physics expertise.
• Provide specialist support for EEG, ENMG and evoked-potential investigations.
• Contribute expertise to actigraphy and sleep investigations ( PSG, Pol-Amb, MWT ).
• Undertake active role in rTMS patient work and expert handling of equipment and treatment technology.
• Participate in readiness for spinal-orthopaedic intraoperative monitoring.
• Improve examination methods and operational practices in the clinical-neurophysiology remit.
• Train staff and contribute to projects and equipment procurements.
• Stand in for the senior physicist in clinical physiology and nuclear medicine.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary clinical-neurophysiology team.
