Job summary

CMC is seeking a Client-Side QA/QC Manager for a major hyperscale data centre construction project in the Greater Helsinki area, Finland. You will provide independent QA/QC oversight, challenge contractor performance, and drive NCR closure to ensure compliance with designs, ITPs and standards.

You will review Quality Plans, witness inspections, and manage handover readiness while coordinating with the client’s leadership to mitigate quality risks throughout construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Significant QA/QC experience on complex, mission-critical construction programmes.
• Experience in client-side/owner’s representative capacity (EPCM/PMC) preferred.
• Overseeing General Contractors and multiple specialist subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of inspection, ITP, and QA processes.
• Experience managing NCRs, defects, corrective actions and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of MEP installation quality in complex facilities.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, submittals and contractual quality requirements.
• Strong written reporting and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent professional English.
• Comfortable challenging Tier 1 contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-side QA/QC oversight of the General Contractor and subcontractors.
• Monitor contractor implementation of the approved Project Quality Plan and ITPs.
• Attend and witness inspections, hold points and testing activities.
• Challenge unacceptable workmanship and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and identify recurring issues.
• Review contractor Quality Plans, ITPs and inspection procedures.
• Verify inspections and tests are completed, recorded and traceable.
• Support completion, commissioning and handover with quality documentation.
