Qualifications

• Strong understanding of MEP construction methods, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience developing and implementing QA/QC procedures and ITPs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with project teams and subcontractors.
• Attention to detail, strong organisational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect mechanical and electrical works to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA and QC procedures.
• Review method statements, ITPs, and quality documentation submitted by subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits, raise NCRs when required.
• Support MEP teams in resolving quality issues and ensuring corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design teams, project engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related matters.
• Ensure materials, installations, and workmanship are inspected, tested, and documented per project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, certifications, and quality documentation.
• Monitor quality performance and contribute to regular project reporting.
• Support project handover activities with QA/QC documentation.

QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical

About the Role

We are seeking experienced QA/QC Engineers specialising in Mechanical and Electrical packages to join a growing team working on a major data centre campus near Helsinki, Finland.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering large-scale, mission‑critical infrastructure projects, ensuring all construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Working closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors, and the wider quality team, you will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures, monitoring site activities, and ensuring all works meet project specifications and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect mechanical and electrical works to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project‑specific Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures.
• Review method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality documentation submitted by subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits, identifying issues and raising Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required.
• Support MEP teams in resolving quality issues, providing technical guidance, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Collaborate with design teams, project engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality‑related matters efficiently.
• Ensure materials, installations, and workmanship are inspected, tested, and documented in line with project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, certifications, and quality documentation.
• Monitor quality performance and contribute to regular project reporting.
• Support project handover activities, ensuring quality dossiers, O&M manuals, and final QA/QC documentation are completed.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, health, safety, and compliance across all site activities.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience within data centres, industrial facilities, or other complex technical environments is highly desirable.

• Experience developing and implementing QA/QC procedures and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and subcontractors.
