Job summary

True North Oy is seeking a skilled chef for our Kota/Hut restaurant in a Nordic setting near Muonio. You will prepare dinner, manage ingredient orders, and maintain clean, safe kitchen operations for a small set-menu with vegan and allergy variations.

The role can be part-time or full-time seasonally, from December to mid-April, with accommodation arranged if needed. The main working language is English, with some German spoken by guests, and there is no public transport in the area.

Job description

We are looking for a chef for our Kota/Hut restaurant. Your duties will include preparing dinner, ordering ingredients, cleaning the kitchen and other general tasks. We serve our customers a set-menue with variations for vegans, allergic. We do have a maximum of 30 customers to be taken care for. It would also be possible as a part time job. You will receive more detailed information about the role, should it differ from this description, from our manager.

The main working language is English. We have mainly english and german speaking customers.

Duration of the work: from the beginning of December to around the middle of April.

Accommodation can be arranged if required.

The workplace is located on Äkäslompolontie, at Husky Village, next to our dog kennels. It is situated within the national park area between Muonio and Äkäslompolo. Muonio is approximately 50 km away, and Äkäsloppolo approximately 20 km. There is no public transport in this area. Where possible, the company car may also be used for personal purposes (e.g. shopping trips), and a charge will be levied based on the number of kilometres driven.
