Job summary

Hiab, a leader in smart on-road load-handling solutions, seeks a Senior Business Excellence Finance partner based in Helsinki. You will design and lead global process improvements across operations controlling, delivering robust KPI tracking and tangible efficiency gains.

The role collaborates with world-wide process owners and supports executive decision-making with consolidated financial insights. Strong leadership, English fluency, and Six Sigma are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s level degree in Business, Economics or other relevant field of study.
• 10+ years of professional experience operating within a global environment.
• Proven track record of developing manufacturing/operations business control processes.
• Leading and influencing cross-functional, virtual teams without direct reporting lines.
• Exceptional influencing, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Proficient with IT enterprise tools (Google Workspace, MS Office, SAP, EPM). OneStream is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as a finance business partner for EVP Business Excellence.
• Establish a unified set of operational and financial KPIs across units.
• Deliver consolidated operational financial insights to group management.
• Coach and support management teams to understand financial levers.
• Drive harmonisation of finance processes among Hiab locations.
• Ensure robust follow-up metrics and post-investment reviews.
• Represent finance in location assessments and benchmarking initiatives.

Your mission

The purpose of this global role is to enhance operational performance by driving continuous business excellence improvements across the equipment supply chain. The successful candidate will independently design, lead, and implement group-wide process development initiatives within operations controlling. Collaborating closely with global process owners, this position ensures robust KPI tracking and quantifies the tangible efficiency gains of strategic Business Excellence initiatives.

While this role is primarily based in Helsinki, Finland, we welcome applications from candidates located near any of our European manufacturing sites, including Raisio (FI), Stargard (PL), Zaragoza (ES), and Dundalk (IE).

Key Responsibilities

• Define, harmonise, and develop global management accounting, related data and reporting processes for equipment supply chain and manufacturing operations
• Act as a finance business partner for EVP Business Excellence
• Establish and maintain a unified set of operational and financial KPIs across all units
• Deliver clear, consolidated operational financial insights to group management and business areas, acting as the core operational finance expert
• Coach and support operational and factory management teams to ensure financial metrics and their operational levers are deeply understood across the organization
• Drive harmonisation of operations and equipment supply chain finance processes among Hiab manufacturing locations
• Ensure all operational, business excellence and development projects have robust financial follow-up mechanisms, proper tracking metrics, and post-investment reviews in place
• Represent finance expertise in various ad-hock initiatives, like manufacturing location assessments, manufacturing operations benchmarking, major assembly operation capex initiatives, and other business excellence initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

• Master’s level degree in Business, Economics or other relevant field of study
• 10+ years of professional experience operating within a global environment, with a proven track record of developing manufacturing/operations business control processes
• Demonstrated success in leading and influencing cross-functional, virtual teams without a direct reporting line
• Exceptional influencing, networking, and relationship-building skills across diverse business operations
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with a proven ability to break down complex problems into easily understandable elements
• Highly self-motivated with a strong aspiration for continuous professional development
• Proficient with IT enterprise tools (Google Workspace, MS Office, SAP, and EPM applications); experience with OneStream is a plus
• Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is considered an advantage.
