Job summary

Sartorius, a growing life science company listed on major indices, seeks a Finance Controller to provide analyses, support planning and reporting, and collaborate across Operations, Supply Chain and Product Management. You will translate data into actionable insights and help drive financial performance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field is required
• Experience in controlling, financial analysis, and reporting in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders
• Experience in an international business environment is advantageous
• Fluency in Finnish and English is required

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analyses and insights to support operational decision-making
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial results
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning activities
• Monitor performance, identify variances and trends, and advise on improvements
• Prepare performance reports, KPIs and reporting tools for transparency
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management and others to improve reporting quality
• Contribute to process improvements and implementation of global systems
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data
• Translate data into insights and present findings to stakeholders

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

• Support local management and business functions by providing financial analyses and insights to support operational decision-making
• Participate in the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders
• Monitor business performance, identify variances and trends, and contribute to recommendations for improving operational and financial performance
• Prepare and maintain performance reports, key performance indicators, and reporting tools that improve transparency and support performance monitoring
• Support the preparation of business cases, investment analyses, and other decision-support activities
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, and other business functions to improve transparency, reporting quality, and business performance
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support the implementation of global systems, best practices, and organizational changes
• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data used in reporting and decision-making
• Translate data into meaningful insights and communicate findings clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

What will convince us

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in controlling, financial analysis, reporting, or a similar analytical finance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, or related functions
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and explain complex topics clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Proactive and collaborative working style, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP; familiarity with reporting and analytics tools is considered an advantage
• Experience working in an international business environment
• Fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
