Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Europe (HBUEU) seeks a BIM Coordinator for the Grid Integration team based in Vaasa or Tampere, Finland.

You will manage BIM processes across projects and collaborate with global colleagues, clients, suppliers and subcontractors in an international project environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction or design.
• Strong knowledge of BIM cloud platforms BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma.
• 3 years of experience with Autodesk tools Revit and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of BIM requirements and standards in Finland.
• Experience on mid to large-scale projects and multi-project environments.
• Fluent Finnish; good English; Nordic languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage project Common Data Environment and train project team.
• Prepare federated models, perform clash detection, coordinate models.
• Create BIM Execution Plans from contract requirements and manage development.
• Create 3D renderings, animations, 4D simulations and other model-based use cases.
• Implement BIM tools for site use in projects.

The opportunity

We are looking for a BIM Coordinator at Hitachi Energy, Grid Integration business. This role is located in Vaasa or Tampere, Finland, and is part of the Nordic Operating Unit (Finland, Sweden, Denmark) BIM team.

The business line designs and delivers complete substations for distribution and transmission grids. In close cooperation with customer and other Hitachi Energy teams we deliver solutions to many segments, like renewables, battery energy storages, datacenters, industry, utilities and green hydrogen sector. We are offering an interesting position in an international project environment and various development possibilities in Building Information Modeling.

As a BIM Coordinator, you manage BIM in a project and communicate effectively with global colleagues, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. In this role you need to be a fast learner, self-motivated and work effectively both independently and as part of the team. You will support the Nordic Operating Unit digitalization initiative. The job includes some internal travelling and site visits as needed.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Manage project Common Data Environment and train the whole project team to use it
• Prepare federated models, perform clash detection and conduct model coordination meetings
• Prepare BIM Execution Plan (BEP) from internal and contract requirements and manage BIM model development
• Create 3D renderings, animations, 4D simulations and other model based use cases
• Implement BIM tools for site use in projects
• Support the preparation and revisions of project budgets and estimates

Your background

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree within a related field in construction or design
• Good knowledge of BIM cloud platforms specifically BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma
• 3 years of experience from Autodesk tools Revit and Navisworks
• Knowledge of BIM requirements and standards in Finland
• Experience in working mid to large-scale projects and working in multiple projects at the same time
• Fluent verbal and written skills in Finnish. Good verbal and written skills in English. Other Nordic language skills (Swedish and Danish) are considered as an advantage.
