Job summary

Elisa is seeking a hands-on BI Engineer to maintain and develop our analytics platform, with Looker at the center and strong Power BI, BigQuery, and Python automation.

You will design semantic models, govern datasets, and enable self-service analytics across business domains, collaborating with data professionals and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes data governance, scalability, and secure access, with a culture of learning and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML.
• Experience maintaining BI or analytics platforms.
• Experience with semantic modeling, dimensional modeling, and data mart design.
• Understanding of Power BI semantic modeling concepts.
• Python skills for automation, integrations, data processing.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and access control.
• Experience enabling self-service analytics and reporting.
• Fluent in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve Looker environment and LookML solutions.
• Design semantic models, governed datasets, and reusable analytics components.
• Support and develop Power BI solutions and related platform capabilities.
• Use Python to automate platform operations, integrations, monitoring, and governance.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and support upgrades and operational improvements.
• Improve performance, usability, scalability, and reliability of BI platforms.
• Manage access controls, metadata structures, and governance practices.
• Enable self-service analytics across different business domains.
• Collaborate with Platform Owner, Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Architects, Analysts, and stakeholders.
• Share best practices and help users make effective use of analytics platforms.
