Job summary

Elisa is hiring a BI Engineer to strengthen our AI data platform team. You will maintain Elisa's Looker environment while collaborating with Power BI, BigQuery, and Python-based automation to deliver driven analytics and governance across the organization.

You will help analysts and business teams have a reliable, well-structured foundation for reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics. The role involves hands-on platform development, semantic modeling, and close collaboration with users

Do you want to build and develop the analytics foundation that enables data-driven decision-making across Elisa?

We are looking for a BI Engineer to strengthen our AI data platform team.

You will play a key role in maintaining and developing Elisa's Looker environment while also working with Power BI, BigQuery, and Python-based automation.

In this role, you will help ensure that analysts and business teams have a reliable, well-structured, and governed foundation for reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics. Your work will combine hands-on platform development, semantic modeling, data governance, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with users across Elisa.

What you’ll do

As a BI Engineer, you will maintain and continuously improve our shared BI capabilities, with Looker at the center of your work.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Maintaining and developing our Looker environment and LookML solutions
• Designing semantic models, governed datasets, and reusable analytics components
• Supporting and developing Power BI solutions and related platform capabilities
• Using Python to automate platform operations, integrations, monitoring, and governance
• Troubleshooting platform issues and supporting upgrades and operational improvements
• Improving the performance, usability, scalability, and reliability of our BI platforms
• Managing access controls, metadata structures, and governance practices
• Enabling self‑service analytics across different business domains
• Collaborating with the Platform Owner, Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders
• Sharing best practices and helping users make effective use of our analytics platforms

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a hands‑on BI professional who understands how analytics teams consume data and enjoys developing shared platforms and solutions that serve a broad user community.

Ideally, You Have

• Strong hands‑on experience with Looker and LookML
• Experience maintaining and developing BI or analytics platforms
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with semantic modeling, dimensional modeling, and data mart design
• Experience with Power BI and an understanding of its semantic modeling concepts
• Practical Python skills for automation, integrations, data processing, or platform tooling
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and access control
• Experience enabling self‑service analytics and reporting
• Good collaboration and communication skills in English

Experience with Google Cloud, BigQuery, platform monitoring, or infrastructure automation is considered an advantage.

You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed. We value a strong foundation, a hands‑on approach, and the motivation to learn and develop our analytics capabilities together with the team.
