Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Technical Service Manager, Databricks to drive global Databricks solutions and AI adoption. The role offers hybrid work and locations in Helsinki, Vaasa, or Turku, Finland.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Databricks, Genie, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, DLT, Workflows, and SQL Warehouses.
• Practical experience in Python, PySpark, and SQL for ETL/data transformation.
• Experience with DataOps, CI/CD.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure).
• Strong experience and understanding about enterprise level IT service management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Databricks platform service and technical management and governance.
• Handling business demand and turning business ideas into value adding solutions.
• Solution and Service & Design: Develop scalable, secure, and leveraging the Lakehouse model, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog for governance etc.
• Provide expert advice, best practices, and training to customer teams on Databricks features and data engineering.
• Influence and support technical project delivery, manage scope, resolve blockers, and ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards. Act as a trusted advisor.
• Stay current with new Databricks features.
