Job summary

Outokumpu in Helsinki (Tornio or Helsinki) is seeking five Azure Data Engineers at junior to senior levels to join our Data team. You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and modern lakehouse solutions using Azure, Databricks and SQL.

You will integrate data from SAP, databases and APIs, modernize legacy warehouses, optimize performance and contribute to data governance, CI/CD and automation. The role offers 50/50 hybrid work and an international, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT and enterprise data platforms.
• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in relevant field or similar experience.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, Synapse and Azure Functions.
• Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and lakehouse architecture.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

We are looking for five Azure Data Engineers, from junior talent to senior professionals, to join our Data team.

Your role

You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and modern lakehouse solutions using Azure, Databricks, and SQL. You will integrate data from SAP, databases, APIs and cloud platforms, modernize legacy data warehouses, optimize performance and contribute to data governance, CI/CD and automation.

Working closely with platform, analytics and business teams, you will deliver reliable data solutions supporting reporting, analytics and AI.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT and enterprise data platforms
• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in relevant field or similar experience
• Familiarity with Azure services such as Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, Synapse and Azure Functions
• Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and lakehouse architecture
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and Azure DevOps
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills

Experience with streaming, Databricks Lakeflow, PySpark, Delta Lake, Terraform, SAP integrations or AI/ML data solutions is an advantage.
