Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Senior Test Automation Developer in Espoo to own automation across release environments, test coverage, and tooling. You’ll partner with Release Engineering to reduce toil and accelerate shipping while keeping production-like environments reliable.

You’ll design and maintain automated tests and frameworks, mentor teams on testing practices, and continuously sharpen strategies based on feedback. Hybrid work model combines office collaboration with focused remote work.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong production-quality coding ability in Python/Java/C++
• Track record of owning test strategy across component, integration, and system levels
• Hands-on experience making production-like test environments reliable through automation
• Bias to action: automate manual/fragile work quickly, not waiting for perfect processes

Responsibilities

• Define test goals, scope, and strategies across component, integration, and system levels
• Own reliability of release-critical environments and satellite test assets through automation
• Design, write, and maintain automated and manual tests and test frameworks
• Explore, validate, and challenge system behaviour in release-critical areas
• Guide engineering teams on what to test, why it matters, and how to test effectively
• Continuously sharpen test strategies based on defects and release feedback
