Job summary

Valio Oy, a Finnish food company with international growth, invites applications for a Maintenance Area Supervisor at its Seinäjoki factory. The role is permanent and focuses on maintenance for the downstream area, especially the operation and reliability of packaging machines and lines.

You will mentor colleagues, monitor preventive maintenance, and support cross-functional projects with production and other departments.

Qualifications

Job description

Primary responsibility is maintenance for the downstream area, while being part of the overall plant maintenance and maintenance operations. Key duties include ensuring and developing the operation of packaging machines and lines (monitoring efficiency and reliability), acting as a specialist and mentor within the own area, monitoring preventive maintenance and spare part availability, troubleshooting and reporting for continuous improvement, participating as a member of project teams in planning and implementing projects, and cooperating with production, maintenance, other departments and experts. When needed you support other maintenance tasks.

Requirements include suitable education (e.g., electrical/automation), creative problem-solving, proactive approach, ability to identify improvement opportunities and develop processes, understanding of food safety and safety at work and promoting them in production processes, and Finnish language proficiency.

Desirable experience includes maintenance of packaging machines, robots and process equipment and experience from industrial maintenance.
