Job summary

ABB Oy, Drive Products division in Helsinki, is seeking an Application Engineer to develop and maintain application software for drives within a hybrid work model. You will code, document, test, and support applications, collaborating with customers and global OEM teams.

Occasional international travel (~50 days/year) is expected. You should have a degree in engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc.) and strong programming skills in Python and C/C++, plus knowledge of IEC61131 and physics concepts such as

• B.Sc. or MSc in engineering or a related field.
• Proven programming experience in Python and C/C++ with exposure to IEC61131.
• Strong understanding of physics, especially kinematics and mechanics.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to ~50 days per year.

Development is often done together with the customers. You will be part of OEM hub team and co-operate with drives factory R&D.
