Job summary

Witted invites experienced AI Platform Engineers to join as part of our AI-focused teams in Helsinki. The role centers on building and operating AI infrastructure, model gateways, and cost-aware platforms for large Finnish organizations.

You will optimize environments, ensure platform performance, security and scalability, and work closely with clients and internal teams. Fluency in Finnish and English is preferred, with weekly on-site visits to client sites in the Helsinki area.

Qualifications

• Around +7 years of relevant work experience, and solid consulting background in working with large Finnish organizations.
• Experience of AI operations in large scale, preferably commercial settings.
• Familiarity with Cloud & Infrastructure tools and AI platforms and gateways, observability, and SRE practices.

Looking for AI Platform Engineers

For this reason, we are seeking AI Platform Engineers to build and operate platforms that enable developer teams to leverage AI efficiently, securely, and cost-effectively.

In this role, you will:

• Build and operate AI infrastructure and model gateway solutions.
• Optimize model selection, run environments, and token expenses (FinOps for AI, cost forecasting).
• Ensure AI platform performance, security, and scalability (SRE, Observability).

What we expect from you:

• Around +7 years of relevant work experience, and solid consulting background in working with large Finnish organizations.
• Experience of AI operations in large scale, preferrably commercial settings.
• Familiarity with the following tools and concepts: Cloud & Infrastructure (Kubernetes, Containers, Terraform / Pulumi, HashiCorp Vault), AI/LLM Platforms & Gateways (LiteLLM, Portkey, Azure AI Studio, AWS Bedrock, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Ray / vLLM, MLflow), and Observability & SRE (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Ideally opportunity to visit client's premises in Helsinki metropolitan area on a weekly basis.
• Ideally fluent Finnish and English skills.
