You will act as a center of excellence, defining standards and best practices for research computing, developing standard tooling, and migrating existing codebases to standard models.
You will work together with research scientists, providing them with scalable, secure, and efficient solutions to hard and onerous software engineering problems, allowing the scientists to concentrate on science, rather than things like service integration, containerization, database optimization, and cloud ops. You will partner with data and analytics platform team, ever improving the capabilities of the infrastructure to support research use cases.
This is a hands‑on role for people who enjoy untangling and re‑engineering complex code bases, making hard integrations easy, and making other people’s lives easier.
