Application Modernization Practice is a horizontal practice, supporting all business verticals in Luxoft.

We are looking for a Senior System Analyst who will be able to work with different domain zones.

For this project, we aim to migrate a legacy system written in HLASM (High-Level Assembler) from the mainframe to a cloud-based Java environment for one of the largest banks in the USA.

1. Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
2. Recover the design, requirement specifications, and functions of a system from an analysis of its code (currently High-Level Assembler, with Cobol in the near future).
3. Translate non-technical requirements into clear technical specifications.
4. Convert low-level code descriptions into meaningful functional requirements.
5. Organize requirements into features and stories.
6. Maintain knowledge base for the system and the project.
7. Participate in the optimization of internal team processes.

• Must be ready to deep dive into High-Level Assembler code to reverse engineer requirements.
• Must be able to provide concise and coherent documentation in English (target audience is native speakers).
• Must be able to enhance requirements with models and diagrams as needed.
• At least 3 years of experience in a BA / SA role.
• Analytical mindset and understanding of different types of requirements and their representation.
• Good understanding of non-functional requirements.
• Ability to communicate in both business and technical languages.
• High level of seniority when dealing with complex tasks.
• Experience in analyzing and documenting integrations.
• Experience working on projects with international stakeholders (USA, UK).
• Good knowledge of analytical tools (functional / non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories, UML).

• Experience with IBM zOS mainframe.
• Understanding of IBM High-Level Assembler, COBOL.
• Experience with microservices architecture, message brokers.
