Job summary

Mar Recruitment & Consulting seeks a Design Engineer for a role based in Mallorca, joining a leading international marine services provider focused on sailing yachts and superyachts. You will contribute to engineering solutions, perform design work, and generate technical drawings and documentation.

The position requires a degree in Engineering, 2+ years in composite/mechanical design, and proficiency in CAD tools.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in composite and/or mechanical design engineering.
• Fluent or professionally proficient English.
• Experience with composite engineering and manufacturing.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Knowledge of metal technology.
• Experience in the marine industry or a similar technical environment is valued.
• Experience in composite manufacturing and/or repair is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering and design team with design-related activities.
• Develop composite and mechanical engineering solutions for marine service projects.
• Prepare technical drawings, descriptions and documentation.
• Provide technical support to customers and service teams.
• Analyse technical requirements and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
• Support composite manufacturing and repair activities.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering design systems and processes.
• Work closely with technical, engineering and service teams.
• Communicate directly with customers when required.
• Contribute to new technical solutions and service upgrades.
• Stay updated with developments in composite engineering and marine technology.
