Job summary

ONE Palma in Palma de Mallorca, IB, ES is seeking a naval architect/marine engineer for a full-time, on-site position. You will work with in-house sailmakers and composite engineers at our new facility and contribute to R&D-driven, data-supported projects.

The role involves designing sails and composite parts for yachts, using specialist CAD software, and supervising feasibility and development tasks. A strong team player with solid organizational skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in naval architecture or marine/mechanical engineering.
• Experience in shipyard/design office roles desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess project requirements and plan feasibility for sails and composite parts.
• Produce detailed designs for sails and composites using drawings and software.
• Develop test procedures including modeling and scale models.
• Interpret data from tests and communicate results to clients.

Naval architect/ Marine engineer/ Marine Designer required for immediate start, working alongside in-house sailmakers and composite engineers at One Palma Superyacht Service. You will be working in a dynamic, data-driven, research and development-led team, based out of our new facility in Palma de Mallorca.

Responsibilities

assessing project requirements and researching feasibility planning and supervising the construction of sails and composite parts producing detailed designs of sails and composite parts for yachts, using drawings and specialist computer software developing and utilizing test procedures including computer modeling and scale models interpreting and analyzing data and test results sourcing and purchasing components, equipment and materials ensuring adherence to appropriate health and safety legislation/standards identifying the need for, and supervising, repairs writing reports and documentation giving presentations undertaking relevant research providing technical advice answering queries from clients.
