Nordex SE invites applications for a Senior Load Calculation Engineer in Madrid. The role centers on performing aeroelastic load calculations, analyzing complex datasets, and supporting site suitability assessments across lifecycle stages. You will calibrate control strategies, validate methodologies, and generate technical reports to support certifications and design updates.

Ideal candidates hold an M. Sc.

Formación

• M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar.
• Complementary training in Bladed, Alaska, HAWC2, Flex5, Python, MATLAB. Applied AI methodologies (ML, NN...).
• +8 years in loads, control, aeroelastic simulation, site suitability or data analytics.
• Professional level of English. Spanish/German are nice to have.
• Availability to travel.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior-level support analyzing and structuring complex data sets such as load estimation results and SCADA data.
• Perform aeroelastic simulations (load calculations) for site-specific suitability assessment. Analyze site condition impacts on loads, components and controller behavior.
• Assess uncertainties and their impact using probabilistic methods.

As part of our growth, we are looking for a Senior Load Calcultation Engineer. Within the Load Calculation Sites team, you will perform the following tasks:

YOUR TASKS:

• Provide senior-level support analyzing and structuring complex data sets such as load estimation results and SCADA data


• Perform aeroelastic simulations (load calculations) for site-specific suitability assessment (at any lifecycle stage, incl service). Analyzing site condition impacts on loads, components and controller behavior


• Assess associated uncertainties and their impact using probabilistic methods


• Support definition, calibration, and verification of control strategies


• Contribute to methodology and toolchain improvements


• Generate technical reports and documentation


• Support certification, design updates, and claims investigations

YOUR PROFILE:

• M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar *
