Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to operate offshore wind assets from a Barcelona-based Remote Operations Center. You will monitor turbines, diagnose remotely, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure reliability.

You will read electrical schematics, use SCADA tools, and communicate findings with engineering teams. Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona is required; fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
