Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind). You will monitor offshore wind assets from a remote hub, analyze alarms, and guide commissioning and service activities to keep turbines healthy throughout their lifecycle.

Collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to resolve issues with structured technical information, supporting continuous improvement and safe operations in a rotating shift model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication and calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
