Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Spain to oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a centralized hub. You will monitor turbines, troubleshoot remotely, and liaise with site teams and engineers to maintain reliability throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona, with a focus on data-driven optimization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
Fluent English (written and spoken) and willingness to relocate to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotations.
