Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring reliable turbine performance throughout the lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, support commissioning and service via remote diagnostics, and guide field teams to restore output.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
Strong analytical and structured technical communication under pressure.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotations.
